Your chance to Visit Walkerville before the end of 2022!

By: Roxana Rangel from My Travelling Backpack

I’ve got two questions for you – 1) When is the last time you’ve been to a market in the Walkerville area? 2) When is the last time you’ve been to the Walkerville area? Well if it’s been a while since you visited Walkerville and you haven’t had the chance to go to a market recently, you’re in luck! There are four more dates before the end of the year where you’ll be able to explore Walkerville’s festivities through the Walkerville Holiday Walk! By the end of this blog post you’ll know when to shop for this holiday season in and around Walkerville and you’ll know which accounts to look out for in 2023 to be informed of family fun opportunities in the new year!

This past year, Walkerville has been one of my highlights for markets and activities! The first market I attended this year was the Walkerville Pop Up Market in May and I was IMPRESSED with how many vendors there were lined up from Lincoln Rd to Kildare Rd. Since then, I have been hooked with going to markets in Walkerville and exploring the Walkerville area! The most recent market I attended was the last Walkerville Pop Up Market of the series on October 22nd. I loved how festive all the shops in Walkerville were decorated with Halloween-esque decor and it was electrifying to see how many people were out and about. Supporting our makers and neighborhoods is essential for keeping an inbound of fresh ideas and new perspectives into this amazing city of ours. Next time you come to a market in the area, I implore you to look around and feel that ‘entrepreneur magic’ as you walk through markets, shops, and the neighborhood of Walkerville. This holiday season is your opportunity to attend the last markets / activities of the season in Walkerville! There is the Walkerville Holiday Walk happening for the next two weekends in November!
