Walkerville Brewery Celebrates 10th Anniversary

Windsor, Ont. – This weekend Walkerville Brewery will celebrate 10 years in business. A decade ago, Owner Mike Brkovich revived Walkerville Brewery from its former glory to re-establish it as a well-appointed, local craft brewery. “We are first and foremost a community brewery, proudly brewing quality beer and cider in the heart of Walkerville” says Brkovich “We are here 10 years later because of the loyalty of our customers and local partners – many thanks to all of you!”.

Co-owner Ian Gourlay also reflects fondly on the past several years of business. “Our success over the last decade is a credit to the skill, hard work and dedication of our brewing, front of house and support staff; my sincere thanks and appreciation to our brew crew!”

Through the years, Walkerville Brewery is proud to have won a combined 38 national & international brewing awards, brewed over 4.125 million litres of beer and created over 100 unique styles & limited-edition brews. Walkerville Brewery’s loyal customer base has also voted them to be the ‘Best Craft Brewery Experience’ in Windsor-Essex County for the last 7 straight years.

Over the last decade Walkerville has been coined one of the coolest neighborhoods in North America by msn.com. From day one, Walkerville Brewery has always been prideful of the neighborhood it’s located in, with a focus of establishing and ingraining a strong presence in the core of the community. Through means of public events and supporting local charities and causes, Walkerville Brewery prides itself on giving back to the community! Walkerville Brewery is grateful to have been able to donate and contribute over $350,000 to local charities, initiatives and causes over the past 10 years of business.

Cheers to ten years – here’s to many more!
